This work is part of a series of sculptural studies on the movement of eternal return. The selected material that gives voice to the entire piece is cardboard.
Born from a deep memory of earth, tree, and paper, the material is
subjected to a rigorous sculptural process. During the process, it seems
to reverse its own chemistry. What was once industrial begins to remember
the grain of the old tree.
The final work, its form, is itself the search for an immutable essence, an
essence that defines distance. The objects in this series inhabit space in
an abandoned and distant way, projecting a sense of profound and irrecoverable
isolation.
